Title: Give Me Hip-hop



Give me hip-hop

Or give me death

Take away hip-hop

You take away my breath

You take away my chest

And my heart which stops beating

You take away everything

And my mind stars pleading

My lungs stops breathing

And my body starts to die

My world stops turning

So I jus wonder why

I just wonder why

Canʼt we stop being rapper racist?

Why canʼt we work together to stop all this hatred

Stop all this hatred

That we have going on

Take out the bad vibes that we play in our songs

You know the ones that tell kids to go do something wrong

What happened to the songs I played when I was young?

Played when I was young

You know the Kool Jʼs

Grandmaster flash, let Krs play

Krs played all the time on my speakers

When I hit the court it played on the bleachers

It played from the heavens

It played from the beach

It played in the minds of the preachers when they preached

It played and thatʼs all I can say

The day I die is when they take hip hop away

The day is not today

Itʼs not coming

And Hip hop wonʼt die as long as my hearts thumpinʼ
